Arias was convicted on May 8, 2013, of killing her lover Travis Alexander in an extremely cruel manner. She slit his throat nearly beheading him, stabbed him 29 times (including stabs in the back, chest, heart and hands) and shot him in the head on June 4, 2008. She is now facing the death penalty in what could be the fight of her life.
